Russia raised the quota for sunflower oil exports!

Russia has raised quotas for sunflower oil exports amid a global shortage of sunflower oil due to the Ukraine-Russia war.

The government said Shya has increased its quota for sunflower oil and sunflower meal exports.

Russia banned the export of sunflower seeds from the end of March to the end of August. and imposed export quotas on sunflower oil to avoid shortages and reduce pressure on domestic prices.

The export quota for sunflower oil has been increased by 400,000 tonnes from 1.5 million tonnes previously, while the export limit for sunflower meal has been raised by 150,000 tonnes from 700,000 tonnes, the government said on Sunday.

At present there is sufficient supply in the domestic market so it has been decided to relax the restrictions. Restriction Restrictions are in force till August 31. The government said manufacturers would benefit from increased exports as restrictions eased.
