Lucknow: A four-month-old baby was reportedly killed by a monkey from the top of a three-storey building. The incident took place in Dunga village in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. Bareilly Chief Conservator of Forests Lalit Verma informed that forest department officials have been assigned to investigate the matter.
On Friday evening, Nirdesh Upadhyay and his wife were walking along the terrace of their three-storey house with their four-month-old son. Suddenly a group of monkeys came there. Nirdesh tried his best to drive the monkeys away but the monkeys gathered around them.
The couple tried to walk down the stairs with the baby, but the baby fell from their hands to the ground. It is reported that by the time the child tried to take instructions, a monkey picked the child up from the ground and threw it down. The child fell down from the three-story building and died instantly.
