Tokyo,

The “nap box” was invented for the people of Japan, who are known for being active. That is, a place made for napping.

This is also known as a power nap. Studies have shown that if a person sleeps for exactly 22 minutes between heavy workloads, the energy they can perform afterwards will increase.

Plywood supply company Koyoju Cohen and furniture store Itoki have prepared this nap box. Its price is yet to be determined.

But it is designed as a piece of furniture that is upright. Its structure is designed to comfortably position the arms, legs, head, and neck. Humans can sleep in a straight line without bending their back while sitting on it.

Itoki director Seiko Kawashima said, “Due to long working hours in Japan, employees often take naps in the restrooms and return. It’s definitely not healthy.

Instead we found this nap box. It can be used conveniently by employees. It will surely be welcomed by the Japanese. Similarly, I hope companies will buy it and use it for their employees,” he said.

It was shared on Twitter, “Japanese companies Itoki Corp. and Koyoju Cohen KK are introducing vertical “sleep pods” – sleeping chambers.

People who use this device sleep upright. It is designed to comfortably support one’s head, knees and back and prevent the person from falling down,” it said.
