Samsung has launched an app for fast editing of images based on artificial intelligence and for free

Samsung has launched a new app called Galaxy Enhance-X for its app store, the Galaxy Store. This is an app for editing and improving the quality of photos, both those taken using the existing device, and those taken by other means years ago.

There are many similar apps for Android devices, however most of them are full of advertisements or require a subscription fee to enjoy their full capabilities. Samsung’s is completely free, although limited to use only on Galaxy devices, both the elite series S, Z and Note, as well as intermediate devices from the A, M and F series.

Enhance-X is able to fix blurry or grainy images, make darker and clearer images clearer, remove unwanted reflections and even add a portrait effect to old photos. The app also includes “Beauty Mode” which is supposed to make face and body photos more beautiful, a kind of automatic Photoshop.

Another interesting feature is the automatic removal of the “Moira effect”, lines and interruptions that sometimes appear when shooting electronic screens. At each stage you can determine exactly what the level of correction will be, and compare the original image with the refurbished image. In any case, the app takes care of keeping a copy of both the edited image and the original image in the device memory, so that the changes can be regretted at any time and deleted.

Another capability is the retrospective magnification of images at any resolution up to three times the original size, with the help of artificial intelligence. As mentioned, there is no limit to the source of the images for editing, however the app itself displays an error message when trying to run it by installing an APK on devices that do not belong to the Galaxy series.

The Enhance-X app joins Expert RAW designed to get the most out of the advanced cameras of its flagship devices and also offers support for compressed RAW files, as well as precise control of various variables such as exposure level, contrast, tones, aperture and more.
