Lavanya hails from Acharappakkam Ravathanallur area near Madhuranthagam in Chengalpattu district. He is married and has a son. He participated in the Group One examination held last March and has now secured the first position in the state. He had already cleared the Group 2 exam thrice. He was selected as an Assistant Registrar in the Deeds Registration Department after securing the third rank in the last Group 2 examination at the state level.
