Taliban Tell Women Employees To Send Male Relatives As Their Replacements: Report | ‘Send male relatives to work instead of you’

by time news

Kabul,

The Taliban seized power in Afghanistan in August last year. The Taliban have imposed numerous restrictions on women since taking power.

The Taliban have already issued strict orders there, such as banning women from higher education, banning women from driving licenses, and requiring female news anchors to cover their faces while reading the news on television.

An English newspaper has reported that the Taliban have asked female workers in Afghanistan to send their male relatives to do the work for them. It has been reported that a female government employee there received a call from Taliban officials.

The woman working in the financial sector said that the Taliban told them to hire men instead of women as the work load in the office has increased. The woman said she received a call from the country’s human resources department to nominate a man as a replacement for a position she had held for 15 years.
