Kozhikode: A scooter passenger who was hit by a car and fell on the road died after being hit by a bus. The deceased was Anjali (27), daughter of Congress Constituency Vice President Parappangat Dhamam Prakashan in Vengeri.
The accident took place between Karikamkulam and Tadambattuthaza at around 8.50 am on Monday.
Anjali was going to her workplace in Kalla from Vengeri. Neighbors said that the car that was reversing hit the scooter when it braked. Anjali immediately fell on the road. At that time, the ‘Kuni’ bus, which was going from Kozhikode to Parampil Bazar, was boarding the young woman’s body.
Anjali died on the spot. A nearby shop’s CCTV shows a car speeding away, which is thought to have hit the scooter. It is clear in the visuals.
