KUWAIT CITY: Kuwaiti nationals will be exempted from visa-free entry into the country and will be replaced with an online travel permit next year, British Ambassador to Kuwait Belinda Lewis said on Monday. She said in a statement that this is a result of the strong relationship between the two countries.
She clarified that online travel permit issuance can be done very quickly, it only takes minutes and is valid for two years.
Commenting on Britain’s airport crisis, she urged Kuwaiti travelers to go to airports outside the capital London as the Heathrow airport strike is causing flight delays and cancellations. Belinda Lewis added that 8,400 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in Britain and cultural exchange between the two countries will continue.
