Police have issued guidelines for e-scooter riders in areas including Hatta. The police informed that e-scooter passengers not wearing reflective jackets at night is a big challenge for the drivers of other vehicles. As the use of e-scooters has increased, so have the number of accidents. Even if there are minor accidents, the information should be reported to the police immediately.
Head light and tail light are mandatory while riding an e-scooter. The horn should be suitable for the vehicle. Braking system should be ensured on front and rear tires. The police suggested that vehicles that meet the technical standards suitable for the weather in the UAE should be used and that quality tires should be used.
