The 44th International Chess Olympiad will be held in Mamallapuram from 28th (Thursday) to 10th (Wednesday) next month (August). Various programs are going on to popularize this. As a part of it, the Nagai district Thalaignayi municipal office front area has been changed to look like a huge chess board.
Also, a Chess Olympiad selfie booth has been set up in the office complex where people can take selfies.

On this occasion, an awareness program related to chess competition was held at Thalainagari Municipality office. Municipal Council Chairman Senthamilchelvi Pichaiyan presided over the program. Municipality Executive Officer Kugan inaugurated the awareness programme.
