Colombo: He was injured in an attack by some unidentified persons on an Indian Visa Center official in Sri Lanka last night. Following this, the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka said that if they understand the situation there and are planning to leave, they can contact them.

There is a severe economic crisis in Sri Lanka. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa fled the country and sent his resignation letter from Singapore.

Protesters in Sri Lanka accused India of helping Gotabaya Rajapaksa escape. In this case, unidentified people attacked the Indian embassy.

Indian officials personally visited the attacked officer Vivek Verma and inquired about his well-being.

Meanwhile, in a tweet issued by the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka, it has been stated, “Officer Vivek Verma, the Director of the Indian Visa Center, was attacked and seriously injured.
