Former Indian skipper and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly denied reports of playing in Legends League Cricket (LLC).

The star denied the news after the organizers of the tournament issued a press release saying that Sourav Ganguly will also be a part of the LLC.

The organizers of the tournament issued a press release stating that Ganguly had agreed to play. Posts like Ganguly coming to play also appeared from the official account of LLC.

After this, the former Indian captain came forward with an explanation. Ganguly said this to NDTV.

NDTV reports Ganguly as saying, ‘I am not part of the Legends Cricket League, all the reports that have come out are false.’

Former Indian star pacer Sreesanth is the latest Indian player to announce that he will play for LLC.

“I am very excited to be back on the field and to be a part of Legends. The decision is to play the second season of LLC,’ says Sreesanth.

Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathal, Badrinath, R.P. Singh, Pragyan Ojha, Naman Ojha, Manpreet Goni, Hemang Badani, Venugopal Rao, Munaf Patel, Sanjay Bhangar, Nayan Mongia and Amit Bhandari are the Indian players who will play in the LLC in the 2022 edition.

Legends League Cricket LLC is a league of former players from teams like India, Pakistan, Australia and England.

Raman Raheja, the CEO of LLC, said that four teams will play in the second season of the league, which will be held in Oman this time, and the list of 110 players will be released soon.

Three teams played in the LLC in the inaugural season. The teams were categorized as Indian players, Asian players and other team players.

The teams in the first season were India’s very own India Maharajas, Asia Lions, a team of superstars from Asian countries like Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and World Giants, a team of other world-class players. World Giants were the champions of the first season.
