The 44th International Chess Olympiad organized by the Department of School Education was held at T.B.S. Government Boys’ High School, Bhavoorchatra. It was conducted for the students studying in government schools at Geezappavur district level. This contest was organized by DMK. District in-charge P. Sivapadmanathan inaugurated the event. Union President Kaveri, School Principal Sundarakumar, Union Secretary Sinithurai and others were present. Winners of these competitions can participate in Tenkasi district level competitions. Also, the winners of the district level competition will be taken by the government to see the state level competition.
