Tragedy: A 3-year-old boy fell to his death from the 18th floor

The investigation into the boy’s death continues. No arrests have been made so far. The boy was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the Chicago Sun Times reported. The two-tower apartment complex where he died overlooks the famous Shore Drive Lake.

Residents living in the same compound said that the windows in the apartments open inwards – and that a small child may be able to crawl and fall from them, but the circumstances of the child’s death are still unclear. “We saw them as they lowered the little boy on the stretcher,” said Tracy Redmond who lived nearby.
