New Delhi: Prime Minister Modi congratulated the Indian stars participating in the Commonwealth Games.
The Commonwealth Games will be held in Birmingham, England on August 28. It will happen at 8. 215 men and women players will participate in 141 categories in 19 sports on behalf of India. Prime Minister Modi discussed with them through ‘Video Conferencing’. After hearing about the difficult paths they had to go through, the Prime Minister congratulated them for doing well in the Commonwealth Games and winning medals.
He said, “Players and players should forget the expectations placed on them. “We have to focus on doing as well as possible,” he said.
Olympic Badminton medalist Sindhu, women’s hockey goalkeeper Savitha, Rio Olympics bronze medalist wrestler Sakshi Malik, boxers Shiva Thapa, Sumit, badminton players Srikanth and Lakshya Sen participated in the Prime Minister’s program. Apart from 3000m, ‘Steeple Chase’ player Avinash Sable and para shot putter Sharmila also participated.
