The brutal murder of the youth who betrayed the bike thieves!

Munusamy hails from D. Edayar village in Villupuram district. His son Arun (21). Arun’s two-wheeler, who was studying second year BA History at Anna Government Arts College, Villupuram, went missing. Arun has lodged a complaint in this regard at Thiruvennainallur Police Station. Also, Arun has given the police a voice recording of his cell phone conversation with 4 people from his village who are suspected of stealing his two-wheeler.

After this, the police went to the village and took four people namely Veeramani, Sathya, Sarathraj and Keerthi Varman to the police station and interrogated them. After investigation they told the police that we did not steal the two-wheeler and the police sent them back. Furious with Arun, who had reported them, the four men along with some other accomplices said, ‘We have stolen the two-wheeler and will return it, come where we tell you’.

When the student and Arun went to their destination, the gang strangled Arun to death by putting him on the banks of the Panpakakkam lake, stripped Arun of his clothes and threw the body and underwear into a derelict well in the Panpakakkam lake.

A young man named Satya who was part of the gang involved in this murder came to the village and confessed that he committed the murder under intoxication. Immediately all the villagers got together and beat up this gang and handed them over to the police. The police recovered the body of Arun, who was killed and thrown into the Pannapakkam lake, and sent it to the Mundiambakkam Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. The relatives of the college student staged a road blockade protesting that many other persons were involved in the murder of the college student and that they should be arrested and the student’s body should not be post-mortem till then.
