This still represents nearly 14 million people. But then, who will be able to benefit from this new aid from the start of the 2022 school year? Scholarship students, recipients of housing assistance (APL) even if they no longer live with their parents, as well as recipients of social minima such as RSA, ASS, AAH, or ASPA. The Caf should be in charge of the payment for the beneficiaries of social minima (as for the payment of the first inflation bonus), Pôle Emploi for job seekers, or Urssaf for the self-employed.
The amount of this exceptional back-to-school aid will be 100 euros plus 50 euros per additional dependent child to try to fight against galloping inflation (5.8% in June over one year). Despite the hesitations in terms of denomination, not making this new premium absolutely clear, the government has decided to give a helping hand to the poorest. The system will be more targeted than the first inflation bonus paid from December 2021 (38 million people were able to benefit from it). Cost of the operation: 1 billion euros.
To fight against the general increase in consumer prices, and in particular food prices, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced the creation of aid paid directly into the bank account of beneficiaries, from the start of the 2022 school year.
