This is not the first time that malfunctions in a new smartphone appear in the first days after its launch. This time the smartphone of Nothing Stands at the center of the storm after a variety of complaints against him were published. Most of the complaints seem to come from customers in India who have already purchased the device and are actually among the first in the world to get the devices right now.
In Israel, the Bug chain opened an early sale when Phone (1) With 8 GB of operating memory along with 256 GB of operating memory will go up NIS 1,999. The price is special for the launch when the devices will be delivered on August 20. The device comes in white and black with a bug giving a 12 month official importer warranty.
We received the Nothing phone (1) Indian retail unit this morning. And just three hours in, we are seeing dead pixels around the selfie camera in our unit. Disappointing!!

The variety of complaints mainly concerns the screen of the device, although a single complaint was also published that the LEDs on the back of the device fell apart. Some buyers complained that around the hole of the selfie camera a number of pixels were burned on the screen. This is a malfunction that does not interfere with the day-to-day functioning of the phone but is disturbing to the eye. Others have released videos of the device screen when it gets a greenish tint and even those that have shot burnt pixels on the new screen of the device.

Hi Carl, so Nothing is new in Nothing Phone 1, we already have seen the same “Green Tint display” issue in some of the previous OP phones as well. So what’s for the hype all about? @geekyranjit @GyanTherapy @igyaan pic.twitter.com/ODfBPSna5j— IronHrt (@IronHrt2018) July 13, 2022
Problems with AMOLED screens are not new and we have encountered the same issues with other manufacturers in the past. When these effects are known the manufacturer must ensure high quality control in order to catch the faults before the devices leave the production line.
Seen a lot of Qs about pre-orders. Please be assured that pre-order customers are always handled with priority. Demand for Phone (1) is huge, which is why we’re seeing longer shipping estimates. The team is working around the clock to get your order shipped at the earliest.????

From the company Nothing, which is the first smartphone of its kind, much is expected and there is no room for glitches that will obscure the launch. In response to all customer complaints, the company’s founder Carl Pei Tweeted: “I saw a lot of questions about pre-orders. Please be assured that pre-booked customers are always given priority. The demand for Phone (1) is huge, which is why we are seeing longer shipping estimates. The staff works around the clock to ship your order as soon as possible״
Some of the published glitches can be addressed by updating a system remotely. These days Nothing has just released a system update for the device. It is currently unknown whether the new update attempts to resolve issues that have been reported on the network, it may have been prepared before the complaints were posted online. According to the company’s publication, the update brings improvements in photography, an experimental connection to Tesla and the NFT gallery, and troubleshooting. We will wait for agile users to install the update and report whether it has actually resolved some of the issues or whether we are likely to receive another update on the issue.
