The disaster at a pool party: Klil Kimhi, a 32-year-old resident of Tel Aviv, is the young man who was killed after being sucked into a sinkhole that opened in a pool in the yard of a private house in Carmei Yosef in the Shefela. Rescuers were called to the scene in the afternoon following a report of at least two trapped. One man managed to escape on his own. Rescuers searched for Kimchi for several hours, until his body was found, and his death was determined on the spot.

MDA paramedic Uri Damari, who arrived at the scene on a MDA motorcycle, said: “This is a very unusual event. When I arrived I saw a hole that opened in the bottom of the empty pool. People who were there told me that suddenly the pit opened and within seconds all the pool water was pumped in. ” The owners of the place were summoned for questioning by the police
