The seal placed on the AIADMK headquarters was removed on Thursday as per the Supreme Court order.
AIADMK’s complaint said that Jayalalithaa’s memorabilia kept in the office has disappeared.
When the AIADMK General Committee meeting was held in Vanagaram on July 11, a fierce clash broke out between the supporters of Edappadi Palaniswami and the supporters of O. Panneerselvam who were at the party’s head office in Rayapetta. Following that, the revenue department sealed the AIADMK head office. Against this, Edappadi Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam filed a case in the Madras High Court. In this case, the seal placed on the AIADMK office should be removed and the key of the office should be taken by Edappadi K. On Wednesday, the High Court ordered that it should be handed over to Palaniswami.
Removal of seal: In this situation, revenue department officials came to the AIADMK office at 10.45 am on Thursday. A total of 4 places in the office were sealed. After removing them one by one, the officials handed over the keys to Mahalingam, the office manager.
Former minister and current Rajya Sabha member CV Shanmugam was present when the seal was removed. He visited every room in the office.
The doors, chairs and computers of the AIADMK office were smashed. Things were broken in the General Secretary’s room. Important documents were torn.

The office bureaus on the 2nd floor were broken and silver vale and scepters were taken from it. Some other important objects are also missing. They were given as gifts to Jayalalithaa. Missing items are counted. He said that a complaint will be lodged with the police.
Donations not allowed: Even though the seal of AIADMK office has been removed, the court has ordered that donations should not be allowed for a month. Therefore, no charity was allowed in the AIADMK office. There was heavy police security at the AIADMK office when the seal was removed.
