Kidnapped boy-search father-found in kozhikode railway station

Kozhikode: The father unexpectedly found his son who had gone missing five days ago from the railway station. A 15-year-old boy who went missing from Puttanathani was returned to his father at the Kozhikode railway station along with the man who kidnapped the child. On the morning of the 18th, the parents started the investigation when their son did not return from his home in Tanur. A complaint was lodged at Kalpakanchery station.

Yesterday, the father reached the Kozhikode railway station as part of the search. While standing in front of the station, he noticed a man walking away holding his son’s hand. When he was stopped, he was told that he was taking the child to his mother. The parent then followed him and informed the town police station.

The town police arrived and took Abbas, a native of Chengala, Kasaragod, into custody and handed him over to the Kalpakanchery police. On the 18th, the boy arrived at his friend’s house in Koduvalli, Kozhikode, and was abducted by him on the train on his way home the next day. When the accused was interrogated, he stated that at first he did not know the child and later he had seen him in the train. In the preliminary investigation, there is no information that there are any other cases against him or that he has been involved in any previous case.

The Kalpakanchery police informed that the child’s statement needs to be taken to find out whether he has exploited the child in any way and after taking the child’s statement, he will be interrogated in detail. Currently, a case has been filed against him for abducting a child. The police informed that after taking the statement of the child, other charges will also be imposed.
