Man dies after getting sucked into a sinkhole that opened under swimming pool

A party was held at a privately owned place in Karmi Yosef, located in the southeastern part of Israel. Some of the party attendees were taking a dip in the swimming pool.

Then a hole suddenly appeared under the swimming pool and a large pit formed. 2 people, including a 32-year-old youth, who were bathing in the swimming pool, fell into the hole. One of them somehow managed to come out on top. But the 32-year-old fell into the pit and died of suffocation. His body was recovered from a depth of 43 feet.

In connection with this incident, the police have arrested the husband and wife who are the owners of the party venue and are investigating.
