Two years after the expiry of the visa; Chinese woman living illegally in Himachal arrested

Shimla: A Chinese woman who was staying illegally in the country was arrested. The Chinese woman was arrested from Lahaul Spiti, a tribal district in Himachal Pradesh. They have been hiding here for the past two years.

They were caught by the police while going to Leh from Lahaul Spiti. They were going in a taxi and were stopped by the police who were checking the vehicle. After checking the documents with them, it became clear that she is a Chinese national. When the visa was checked, it had already expired two years ago.

The arrest has been recorded under the sections related to illegal stay of foreign nationals in the country. They were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody till the 6th of next month.
