Woman jumps from Ranni Bridge into Pampa river

Pathanamthitta: A woman jumped into the Pampanadi from Ranni Bridge in Pathanamthitta. The incident happened around 9:30 pm. After being informed by the locals, the police reached the spot and conducted an investigation.

A pair of shoes and a purse were found at the site where the woman is believed to have jumped. The Aadhaar card in the purse belongs to Jayalakshmi, a resident of Adoor Mankala. Police investigation found that Jayalakshmi was missing from this morning. The initial conclusion of the police is that Jayalakshmi jumped on the horse. The police are still investigating the incident. It was late at night and it was impossible to search the river. Therefore, tomorrow morning, we will start the process of searching the river.

Disappeared after going on duty; On inspection, the police officer was found hanging

Sreetsan, a civil police officer of the Palakkad Kollamkot police station, was found hanging dead. The body was found in the quarters adjacent to the station around 6:30 in the evening. Sreelsan, who was on passport verification duty at Kollangode police station, went missing after reaching the station. Despite continuous phone calls, he did not get it. Later, when the quarters were checked under the leadership of the SHO, he was found hanging dead.

The dead body was hanging from the fan’s hook with a plastic rope. Police recovered the suicide note. The note says, “I’m leaving, thank you all.” It has been almost a year since Srilsan came from Sholayur station to Kollangode police station. The police also informed that he had been treated for mental problems in the past.
