Udumalai: On behalf of Devanur Pudwar SBI Bank, a meeting of farmers was held and a ceremony was held to provide drinking water purification equipment to the school. On behalf of Bharat State Bank, Devanur Pudhar Branch, a meeting of farmers was held. SBI Zonal Manager Bhubaneswari presided. Branch Manager Rasamanikam welcomed. Prof. Venkatesa Palaniswami, Coimbatore Agricultural University, explained about agricultural techniques, increasing cultivation, converting paddy products into value-added products and selling them and government subsidy schemes for farmers. In this event, water purification equipment needed for government girls higher secondary school students and 10th and 12th class public examination. Prizes were awarded to the top three ranked students. To make the school premises green, saplings were planted. Also, senior bank customer, best customers were given souvenirs and 2.4 crores worth of loans were given to 11 people. Arrangements for this event were made by SBI, Zonal Office Officers, Devanwar Pudhar Branch Officers.
