Kochi: Doctors say memory and mental illness problems are increasing in covid sufferers. Doctors point out that mental stress, memory loss and depression increase for those who have come with Covid more than once. Covid is also a condition that affects the blood flow in the blood vessels. More frequent exposure to Covid-19 can also affect blood flow to the brain. The main symptoms of reduced blood flow are forgetfulness, depression, lack of energy, excessive anxiety and sleeplessness.

A study published in the medical journal The Lancet found that 33 percent of those infected with Covid-19 developed serious mental health problems within the next six months.

According to the study, 17 percent of people had anxiety disorders, 15 percent had depression, 7 percent had alcohol addiction and drug addiction, 5 percent had chronic insomnia, 2 percent had amnesia symptoms, 1 percent had stroke, and 0.7 percent had cerebral hemorrhage.
