Saudi Arabia is one of the major oil rich regions. Although the entire country is a desert, the government of the country is carrying out various projects to turn it into an oasis. The building is to be built in Tabuk province in the northwestern part of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi government has said that this building, which will be made of glass on both sides, is about 75 miles long and will house about 50 lakh people. 1 trillion US dollars (Rs 766 billion in Indian value) has been earmarked for this purpose.

It has also been announced that the buildings in it will be taller than the famous Empire State Buildings in the United States. The project will consist of two 1,600-foot-tall buildings parallel to each other in the desert. It will take 50 years to build. These construction works are taking into account the curvature of the earth. Also, it has many luxury features.

A subway line will be built to allow the people living in these buildings to travel from one place to another in 20 minutes. Apart from that, waterways are also being constructed to carry luxury boats inside. Agricultural works are also being carried out to provide food for the residents inside this building. Also, a 1000 feet long playground will be built inside it.
