Thiruvananthapuram: DYFI activists vandalized CPM branch committee office in Vattiyoorkkavu. The Melathumele branch committee office was vandalized last night. An argument between a young office assistant and some DYFI workers ended in a conflict. It is reported that there was a dispute over a Facebook post. Both groups have approached the Vattiyoorkao police with a complaint of assault.

AKG center attack: Will CPM connection help the accused? It is indicated that the investigation was sabotaged

It is indicated that the police sabotaged the investigation because of the CPM connection that the accused in the AKG Center Attack case also had. It is alleged that even though suspicions were raised that the shopkeeper, who had passed in front of the center several times, was an aide to the accused, the higher official intervened and stopped the investigation in that direction. It is reported that the investigation was deliberately diverted and handed over to the crime branch.

It is reported that the police received clear signals on the second day of the AKG center attack. An explosive device was thrown at the AKG center between 11.23 and 11.24 pm on June 30. Apart from the CCTV footage released from the AKG centre, there was also a clear CCTV footage. From that point of suspicion came to the shopkeeper.

Between 10.50pm and 11.30pm on the night of the incident, he rode the scooter back and forth in front of the AKG center seven times. He explained to the police that he had gone to the shop to get water, but it was clear from the footage that the scooter had a can of water only once. Moreover, after the explosion, he passed in front of the AKG center but did not look back despite the presence of the police and the crowd. .

At the initial stage of the investigation, the police came to the conclusion that he had delivered the explosives to someone else and he had thrown them. But it is reported that a senior police officer has instructed to stop the investigation in that direction after realizing the local CPM connection of the thug. The top officials hid the phone record of the thief without further inspection.

Instead of going to the shopkeeper and his friend, Dio went after the scooter and the crackers and crawled away from the investigation. Amidst all this, five of the seven policemen guarding the AKG center were sleeping on top of the adjacent Hassanmaraikkar hall when the incident took place.

Even after approaching the suspected accused, the police let them go. What is stopping the police from taking statements and collecting evidence despite having crucial evidence in hand? Whose interest is it that the man who threw an explosive device at the state office of the ruling party remains in the dark? There are many questions that put the party and the government on the defensive in the AKG center attack case.
