The reason is that international investors have poured private equity investment into India at an unprecedented level through foreign direct investment. They have invested $27.6 billion in the first six months of this year.

On the one hand, the portfolio investment of foreign investors is leaving the Indian stock market, but they are making investments with confidence in the growth of Indian industry. Foreign portfolio investors sold and pulled out $29 billion from the Indian stock market.
But to balance this they have invested 27.6 billion dollars through foreign direct investment, private equity capital and venture capital.
