PMU – Arrival of the quinté of Monday July 25 in Tarbes: day of firsts in the Hautes-Pyrénées

by time news

Arrival of the fifth: 3 – 2 – 11 – 6 – 7

The reorganization of the calendar due to the fires which affected La Teste (Gironde) enabled the Tarbes racecourse to host the first quinté in its history. First of all, it was discussed at all levels since the winner, The Decameron (n° 3) thus allows his jockey, Ricardo Sousa Ferreira, and his trainer Oscar Alberto Anaya, to shine for the first time in this type of competition. Bought following an average outing in a claiming race on June 2, the winner was quite competitive and even saw his odds drop from 14 to 11/1 a few seconds from the start. To achieve this success, he consistently featured in the top third of the field before being brave to get the better of the favourite, Lingering Dream (n° 2).

Set back from the first two, the fight was just as bitter between The Ungrateful (#11) and Lepti Prinsadi (no. 6), the third finally returning to the first named while the grass (n° 7) completes the good combination of this quinté marked by a farandole of “firsts”.
