The Ariel University workers’ strike for tomorrow has been called off, but negotiations with the management continue

by time news

After intensive negotiations between the workers’ representation and the Ariel University Board headed by Hamda Hadi and the management of Ariel University, an interim document was signed today (Monday) in which it was agreed to cancel the full strike planned for tomorrow without a time limit.

At the same time, the parties agreed to enter into an accelerated process of negotiations to renew the collective agreement, with an emphasis on comparing conditions for the employees of all universities and raising wages.

As part of the interim document, the parties agreed to provide immediate grants and improve several conditions, as temporary compensation until the end of the negotiations.

The National Histadrut and the Administrative Faculty Employees’ Committee stated that: “The labor dispute has not been canceled and that the 500 faculty employees at Ariel University reserve the right to continue the organizational procedures as long as the negotiations do not progress, including the immediate resumption of the strike. The National Histadrut will continue to be the representative of Ariel University employees.”
