The appeal petition filed by the Tamil Nadu Anti-Corruption and Vigilance Commission regarding the contract malpractice case against Edappadi Palaniswami will be heard in the Supreme Court tomorrow. Supreme Court Chief Justice N.V. A bench headed by Ramana is investigating.
A case has been filed alleging embezzlement of Rs 4,800 crore by awarding highway department contracts to relatives and friends. An appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court on behalf of Edappadi Palaniswami against the case filed by RS Bharati. In 2018, a petition was filed in the Madras High Court claiming that no action had been taken in the case filed by RS Bharti. It is to be noted that the Madras High Court has also given permission to file a case against the EPS as the CBI can investigate the complaint.
