The crew and producers did the pre-production work for the film which lasted for six months. A huge amount of preparation had to be done for this film, which unfolds in the backdrop of the villages of Kasaragod. After several artists were found through casting calls from these regions and selected through training rounds, a short version of the film was made with only these artists before the actual film was shot. Around 10 locations in five villages of Kasaragod district were used for the 60-day shoot.
