New leaks about the Asus Zenfone 9: design, specifications, expected price and launch date

After ASUS launched the Zenfone 8 last year, the company is now preparing to launch the Zenfone 9 which has been leaked several times revealing almost everything. Now, ASUS itself has also hinted at some of these features.

Zenfone 9 is scheduled to launch on July 28, and the event will be officially broadcasted via a live stream on the company’s official Youtube channel.

According to a leaked promotional video, the smartphone will arrive with a new design, which will look more premium than the Zenfone 8 (Asus 8z).

The design of the Zenfone 9 will be a mixture of various phone designs from Huawei and Apple, and the phone will have a flat metal frame and two giant circles on the back that contain the cameras. The phone will also come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

The phone’s screen will have a hole in the top left corner, while the bottom edge will be relatively larger than its forehead.

The top side of the smartphone will include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a secondary microphone slot, while the bottom will house a speaker grille, a USB-C port, a primary microphone slot, and a SIM card slot.

The left side of the device will be empty while the right side will house the volume button and a specific power key with the integrated fingerprint sensor. The phone will arrive in four colors black, white, blue and red.

The phone will come with a 5.9-inch Samsung AMOLED screen, and it will provide FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor along with a 4,300mAh battery.

The phone will come with a dual rear camera setup and a 12-megapixel front camera. The rear camera setup will include a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and a 12MP wide-angle lens.

Rumors say that the Asus Zenfone 9 could be priced at around 800-900 euros.
