A terrorist attack took place at a Sikh shrine in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Following this, the Taliban-led Afghan government decided to restore the Sikh Gurdwara.
In this case, the Taliban have invited the minorities. The situation in Afghanistan has stabilized and religious minorities including Hindus and Sikhs are demanding to return to Afghanistan.
Following the attack on the Sikh Gurdwara, a high-level delegation from the Afghan Interior Ministry visited the Gurdwara and consoled the injured. Condolences to the families of the deceased. A technical team was also constituted to assess the damage profile. Following this, it was announced that the Afghan government would provide 7.5 million Afghanis for the renovation of the Gurdwara.
Last June 18, the ISKB terrorist group attacked the Parwan Gurudwara in Kabul. Two people, including a Sikh, were killed in the attack.
At this stage, a high-ranking official of the Afghan government held a consultation with representatives of the Hindu and Sikh Councils. The meeting was held on the 24th. It called for the return of the minority people who have now left Afghanistan. It was also reported that security issues have been compromised here.
