Cuddalore-Cadalur Collector’s Office Grievance Redressal Meeting The villagers tried to hand over the ration cards and there was commotion. More than 50 villagers of Thaikal Thoppiru village of Kothatatta Panchayat next to Bhuvanagiri attended the weekly grievance meeting held at the Cuddalore Collector’s office. When they went to submit a petition to the TRO, they tried to hand over the ration cards, Aadhaar card and voter ID card that they had brought. After that, the villagers filed a petition and dispersed. In that petition, 45 families were living on the basis of rent agreement in the Wakpu board space in Salikandu Thaikal and outside the waterway in Ko.Bangsanguppam. We have no place of our own. The authorities have removed the huts built on government-owned land near where we live. Therefore, we were told to take appropriate action to grant us a house title. The officials who received the petition said that they would take appropriate action. The incident caused a commotion there.
