In the Thiruvallur school girl’s suicide case, her parents have refused to buy her body.

Srimati, a plus-2 student of Kaniyamur Shakti Matric Higher Secondary School, Kallakurichi district, died mysteriously two weeks ago. The protest that followed turned into a riot. Before this tragedy could be removed from people’s minds, the incident of another plus-2 student committing suicide in a hostel in Tiruvallur district has shocked the people of Tamil Nadu.

Accordingly, a government-aided girls’ higher secondary school is functioning in Keezasery. A student named Sarala who belongs to Thiruthani in that school was staying in the school hostel and was studying Plus 2. In this situation yesterday he suddenly hanged himself in a room in the hostel.

Fellow students informed the hostel management about the incident. After that the police was informed. The police went to the spot after receiving the information and seized the body of the student Sarala and sent it to Tiruvallur Government Hospital for post-mortem.

The relatives of the student started a road blockade claiming that they were suspicious of the sudden death of the student, after which the case related to the death of the student was immediately transferred to the CBCID and investigation is being conducted.

The post-mortem on Sarala’s body was completed recently. Officials said that only after its conclusion can it be said whether it was murder or suicide.

The parents have refused to buy the body after the post-mortem. Relatives have said that they will buy the body only if the reason for suicide is known.
