The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox in Mexico has reached 60. This was informed by the Prevention and Health Promotion Undersecretary on Tuesday. López Gattel said no deaths have been reported at this time.

Only six people have been admitted to the hospital. Officials say patients recover in about 21 days. Meanwhile, monkeypox cases have been detected in 11 Mexican cities.

According to the latest figures released by the World Health Organization, more than 16,000 cases of monkeypox and five deaths have been reported in 75 countries.
