The Directorate of Civil Aviation has directed SpiceJet to operate only 50 percent of its flights for the next 8 weeks.

The Directorate of Civil Aviation has announced the new restrictions following complaints of frequent malfunctions in flights owned by SpiceJet.

Accordingly, on the basis of the reason report provided by SpiceJet, the technical fault that occurred in SpiceJet flights from April 1 to July 5 was scrutinized. It is therefore advised to operate only 50 percent of flights for the next 8 weeks.

The report also stated that the Directorate of Civil Aviation should ensure that there are adequate technical and economic aspects to increase the number of flights and provide security.

It is noteworthy that in the last 18 days alone, the Spice Jet plane has been grounded 8 times due to malfunction.
