Vaniyampadi: The footage of district officials welcoming the Chess Olympiad torch in Vaniyampadi in Tirupathur district has gone viral.

Chess Olympiad starts tomorrow at Mamallapuram in Chennai. These matches will be held till August 10.

The torch run was started to popularize this Chess Olympiad event. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 19 in Delhi. Subsequently, the torch relay went to various states of the country and reached Tamil Nadu yesterday.
