Kozhikode ∙ Thiruvananthapuram – Seeing a snake on the Nizamuddin Express caused panic. The incident happened last night. The snake was seen when the train reached Tirur. The snake was near berths 28 and 31 of the S-5 sleeper compartment. Hirunneesa, wife of P. Nisar, a native of Kannur, and a girl were the first to see the snake. One of the passengers poked the snake with a stick but some raised a ruckus saying not to kill it. The traveler immediately removed the snake from his body. Immediately the snake proceeded through the compartment.

As soon as the train reached Kozhikode at 10.15 am, the authorities conducted an inspection. Immediately after reaching here, one of the inspection team saw the snake and poked it with a stick, but the snake slipped away. Then all the passengers were asked to get out. After searching for more than three and a half hours, nothing was found. Passengers’ bags were checked. Even then the snake was not seen.
