The Ministry of Health has provided several tips before using contact lenses, in order to maintain the health of the eyes, calling for the application of instructions for use and proper care to avoid any corneal ulcers that may lead to blindness.
The ministry stressed the need to consult an optometrist to take the correct measurements for medical or colored contact lenses to maintain the health of the eyes.
She advised to stay away from buying contact lenses from unlicensed stores, stressing the use of solutions for lenses to clean them.
And she noted not to sleep with lenses of any kind to avoid infection, and to be careful not to swim with lenses, in addition to avoiding wearing lenses in dusty atmospheres.
