India ranks 5th in the world for the cheapest mobile data

Mobile data plays an important role in news, communication and other activities of the growing younger generation. It helps us to know many events in our daily life through our mobile. According to reports, India is ranked fifth in the 2022 global mobile data price list. This is a part of the report published by calculating the price of this 1GB mobile data which is currently conducted in almost 233 countries around the world.

Israel is at the top of the list. In this country, it costs $0.04 per GB, which is about Rs. 3,500 is the most expensive data in the last place of the list. Also, mobile data costs $4.98 in North America which in Indian terms is approximately Rs. Also listed as 400.

This global mobile data price 2022 list is compiled by price comparison site Cable.co.uk. In this order, Israel, Italy, San Marino, Fiji and India are said to be the top five cheapest countries for paying less for mobile data. It is noteworthy that India is at the fifth position. It costs $0.17 which is said to be approximately 14 rupees in our Indian Rupees.

The report also suggests that India’s population is heavily reliant on mobile data, and increasing demand for it is creating competition between data networks and offering lower prices. Israel, on the other hand, is said to be a global leader in 5G technology, and arguably holds a leading position in pricing as well.

According to the list, Saint Helena, the Falkland Islands, São Tomé and Príncipe, Tokelau and Yemen are the five most expensive countries to purchase mobile data, with four of the five countries being islands. And it is also worth noting that two countries are located in sub-Saharan Africa.

They also say that cheaper countries fall under the better infrastructure or heavy reliance archetypes on this list. Whereas the most expensive countries have more growth and more infrastructure, they said, ultimately, data on pricing in richer economies tend to skew toward the global average.
