This global mobile data price 2022 list is compiled by price comparison site Cable.co.uk. In this order, Israel, Italy, San Marino, Fiji and India are said to be the top five cheapest countries for paying less for mobile data. It is noteworthy that India is at the fifth position. The report also suggests that India’s population is heavily reliant on mobile data, and increasing demand for it is creating competition between data networks and offering lower prices. Israel, on the other hand, is said to be a global leader in 5G technology, and arguably holds a leading position in pricing as well.

According to the list, Saint Helena, the Falkland Islands, São Tomé and Príncipe, Tokelau and Yemen are the five most expensive countries to purchase mobile data, with four of the five countries being islands. And it is also worth noting that two countries are located in sub-Saharan Africa.

They also say that cheaper countries fall under the better infrastructure or heavy reliance archetypes on this list. Whereas the most expensive countries have more growth and more infrastructure, they said, ultimately, data on pricing in richer economies tend to skew toward the global average.
