After We4G went bankrupt and its operations were acquired, the Wecom company enters the market with aggressively priced cellular packages and promotions that are only remembered at the height of competition of the cellular revolution of the previous decade.
Similar to the promise of its predecessor, it offers a cellular package with an unchanged price and for 49.90 shekels per month it will provide up to 3,000 minutes of talk and unlimited surfing – also abroad. This is a benefit that can cost hundreds of shekels per month for those who take advantage of it, since surfing packages abroad L is sold by the cellular companies in high amounts and is considered a great source of profit for them.
Besides the new package, it will also offer local packages at a starting price of NIS 39.90 per month with unlimited 4th generation surfing, or unlimited 5th generation surfing in Israel at a price of NIS 49.90 per month. There is also an unlimited surfing package abroad at a price of 59.90 shekels per month. The cost of a SIM is 10 shekels and customers who wish to switch between the packages will pay 30 shekels.
Today, Wecom has about 300,000 subscribers when it started its operations a few months ago and it rides on Cellcom’s infrastructure. The new packages will be available starting this August for a limited time period.
