CHENNAI: The party has split into two in the AIADMK leadership race. A majority of the administrators are said to be on the Edappadi side and a majority of the volunteers are on the OPS side. Due to this both AIADMK and Sinnam are competing. Both parties have approached the court and the Election Commission. Both parties are fighting to bring the party under their control if they have Modi’s support.
Suddenly, amid this conflict, O. Panneerselvam went to Delhi to file the nomination papers of President Drarubathi Murmu. He was sitting behind Modi. Because of this, Modi has been saying that he is supporting him. Edappadi Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam were invited on behalf of AIADMK for the farewell ceremony of former President Ram Nath Kovind. Panneerselvam was hospitalized due to corona infection.
