A nursing student committed suicide in a college hostel in Chennai.
Sumathi was studying in the 2nd year of a private nursing college operating in Thiruvekkad, Chennai. It is said that the student from Erode district hanged herself in the hostel room while studying in the hostel of the college.
While it is said that the student Sumathi hanged herself, the police are conducting an investigation in the nursing college. The assistant commissioner and inspector are investigating the fellow students who stayed with the student in the hostel room and the college administration.
After learning about the student’s suicide, two of the student’s relatives came to the college and sat on the road in front of the college and protested. Police have been gathered in front of the college. Police have been deployed across the college campus for security.
