Saudi Civil Defense warns of possible rain with thunder and lightning till Wednesday

RIYADH: The Saudi Civil Defense has warned the public to be cautious due to the possibility of thunderstorms and rain in various parts of Saudi Arabia from today (Saturday) to Wednesday.

Areas of Asir, Najran, Jizan and Al-Baha will be affected by moderate to heavy rain and wind. This can cause torrential rain. The authority also informed that there is a possibility of light deficiency and moderate rain in Riyadh, Sharqia, Qasim and Hail regions.

Beware of potential hazards in the weather. Spokesperson Col. Mohammad Al Hammadi asked people to stay away from flood-prone areas and follow the safety instructions given by Civil Defense through various media and social networking sites.
