New Delhi: From August 2 to 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked everyone to change the profile picture of their social media accounts to tricolor. Modi’s proposal is part of the ‘Har Khar Tiranga’ campaign in connection with the 75th Independence Day. He made the appeal through the Prime Minister’s monthly rodeo event Monkey Bath.
August 2 has a special connection with the tricolor. It is the birthday of Pingali Venkaiah who designed our national flag. Respect to him. “Madam Cama, the great revolutionary, is also remembered on this occasion,” Modi said.
Earlier, the Prime Minister had also directed everyone to hoist the Tricolor flag at their homes from August 13 to 15 in connection with the Independence Day. It was only after this that Modi proposed to change the profile picture on social media.
