Kuwait City: Inspections aimed at preventing illegal activities in Kuwait continue. Officials informed that 1,220 violations were found during vehicle inspection conducted by officials in Khaitan yesterday. The inspection was done simultaneously at different places to close the loopholes for the law violators to escape.
Kuwait Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieut. Under the direction of General Anwar Al Barjaz, the operations and traffic sector assistant undersecretary Jamal Al Sayeh and the director of the technical examination department of the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier General Mishal Al Suwaiji, conducted the inspections.
Driving with expired driving license, expired vehicle registration, other violations related to vehicle safety, expired tires etc. were found. Officials informed that the vehicle owners should carry out regular maintenance of their vehicles and regular inspections in terms of tires and smoke. Inspections will continue in various parts of the country in the coming days.

Three expatriates die in landslide at work site in Oman; One person was injured
Muscat: Two expatriates died in a landslide in Oman. One person was injured. The incident took place in Bidbid, Al Dakhiliya Governorate. According to local media reports, the accident occurred at the working site of a company.

One injured in building fire in Muscat

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police has arrested a young man who set fire to several ATMs in Oman. The incident took place in Dhofar. He set fire to machines owned by a local bank in the country.
