In the aftermath of Mario Draghi’s fall, his followers brandished his name swearing his return, or at least promising to complete everything he had started since his arrival at Palazzo Chigi in February 2021. The media assured that this would certainly be the theme of the campaign for the legislative elections on 25th September. The scenario was written: a kind of “Draghi camp”, made up of reformists, liberals and Europeanists, those who voted their confidence in him on July 20 in the Senate, will face on September 25 those who brought him down, namely the Mouvement 5 stars and right, the League, Forza Italia.
